The Fort Bend Education Foundation Gala committee co-chairs Jacquie
Chaumette and Mary Ahner are proud to present the 17th annual
Education Foundation Gala entitled “Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez”.
This magnifique event will be held February 27, 2010, at the Sugar
Land Marriott Hotel.
Let the corner street lamps light your way as you stroll through the
streets of the French Quarter. Experience the sensational sights,
sounds and flavors that make the French Quarter unique. Savor fine
dining, dancing and live entertainment while supporting the live and
silent auctions.

Schlumberger Education
Expedition
The 7th annual Education Expedition
will take place on Saturday, March 27th. We promise to provide you
with a quality ride whether you are training for that all-important
BP MS 150 or just wanting a great day with friends. The Schlumberger
Education Expedition ride begins at Hightower High School and winds
throughout quiet streets and into the countryside, before looping
back home.
The routes are designed to minimize busy intersections while
providing a smooth and scenic ride. Water stations are staffed by
volunteers from local schools and they will be vying for the Best
Water Station award. Be prepared to be entertained along this route!
Stay and enjoy lunch with your friends after the ride. We are
providing a scrumptious lunch and entertainment! SAG wagons will be
on the course to assist you with any needs. This is one ride you
don’t want to miss!

International Festival Model Search Winners
The 4th annual international festival
took place on November 7th. This year FBEF partnered with Page
Parkes to present a model search. Almost 300 applications were
accepted from Fort Bend County students. Page Parkes narrowed the
field down to 36 contestants who participated in a show at the
festival. Six winners were selected and they received a $1,500
scholarship to Page Parkes and a professional photo shoot.
The winners for elementary were Isaih Colon (Seguine ES) and Jenna
Abouheit Christoffel (Colony Bend ES). The middle school winners
were Myles Hawkins (Quail Valley MS) and Megan Gonzales (Baines MS).
The high school winners were Reese Morgan (Dulles HS) and Jennifer
Wang (Clements HS). Congratulations to everyone!
