Charitable Giving
Are you tired of buying mugs and stationery for your favorite
teachers? Here is an idea that could really benefit your favorite
faculty member or school where it matters most--in the classroom!
The Fort Bend Education Foundation Tribute Program is the perfect
gift that will have a direct impact. Your tax-deductible donation is
made in honor of your favorite FBISD staff member(s). The staff
member is sent a card recognizing the gift made in his or her honor.
The Tribute Program is the perfect way to say “You’re the Best” or
simply “Thanks for All You Do”.
Whether your contribution is $10, $50, $100, or $1000 it will help
enhance the quality of education in Fort Bend ISD schools. A tribute
fund donation can also be made in memory of a loved one. In
addition, donations can be given for the Foundation’s Grant Program
or by sponsoring an event.
Please consider making Fort Bend Education Foundation your charity
of choice for your tax deductible end of year giving. You may click
on the Donation button to the left which will make the giving
process simple.

Gala
The Fort Bend Education Foundation Gala Committee has unveiled the theme for
its’ sixteenth annual Education Foundation Gala to be held at the Sugar Land
Marriott Hotel on February 28, 2009.
“In the Jungle” presented by Fort Bend Mechanical promises to
be a truly exceptional event. More than 800 people attend the Gala each
year. This year’s event, chaired by Laura Stoltenberg, will be an “enter
at your own risk” event. This distinctive evening will celebrate the
successes of the Fort Bend Education Foundation and thank the community for
its generous support. Dinner, dancing, a live and silent auction and
entertainment are all on the menu for this memorable event. Commissioner
James Patterson will act as the auctioneer and the band, Password, will
provide the musical entertainment.
The mission of the Fort Bend Education Foundation is to enrich, enhance and
maximize the quality of education for all FBISD students. Since its’
inception in 1992, the Education Foundation, has awarded over $2.1 million
in grants to FBISD teachers and schools. Foundation programs include the
Grants for Teachers and Schools Program, Grants for Experts Program, and
Angel Gifts. The Gala is the primary source of revenue to fund these
programs.
