PUTTING ON THE RITZ!!
The Fort Bend Education
Foundation Gala Committee is proud to present its fifteenth
annual Education Foundation Gala entitled “Putting on the
Ritz”. This swanky event will be held March 1, 2008 at the
Sugar Land Marriott Hotel. The reception will begin at 6:30
pm and dinner will be served at 8:00 pm.
You are invited to experience
a dazzling evening reminiscent of days gone by. Imagine
strutting your stuff through the streets of New York City as
you take in the glittering ambiance of the Marriott
ballroom. Enjoy dining, dancing, live entertainment, and
participate in the live and silent auctions.
Gala committee co-chairs Peggy
Jackson and Lynn Halford are excited to announce Keith
Kilgore as emcee for the evening with Commissioner James
Patterson as auctioneer. The band Password will sweep you
away providing the evening’s fine music.

The Fort Bend Education Foundation is very excited
to partner with Helping Hands Inc. to develop the
Fort Bend Education Foundation Discount Card.
This card contains 64 peel off coupons to area
merchants where you can receive free, buy
one-get-one-free, or a percentage off merchandise.
These merchants include casual dining restaurants,
fast food restaurants, entertainment centers and
other retail vendors. This card has been developed
to ensure that every zip code in the FBISD
attendance zone will have one or more coupons.
With the Foundation Discount Card you will receive
over $750 in savings for only $10. The card will pay
for itself in one or two redemptions.

2008 Education Expedition
 Are
you ready for
the BP MS 150?
or
Do you just
need a ride?
We promise to provide you with
a quality ride whether you are training for that
all-important BP MS 150 or just wanting a great day with
friends. The Education Expedition ride begins at Hightower
High School and winds throughout quiet streets and into the
countryside, before looping back home. The routes are new
this year and designed to minimize busy intersections while
providing a smooth and scenic ride. The ride is a BP MS 150
recommended ride. Water stations are staffed by volunteers
from local schools and they will be vying for the Best Water
Station award. Be prepared to be entertained along this
route!
We begin at 7:15 am sharp and hope you will register online
(http://www.fortbendisd.com/foundation) before event day to
prevent any distractions for you on ride morning. SAG wagons
will be on the course to assist you with any needs.
Be prepared to stay and enjoy lunch with your friends after
the ride. We are providing a scrumptious lunch and
entertainment! This is one ride you don’t want to miss!
